The Next Chapter for Detroit
Peace Tree Parks is moving into its next phase, merging food access with sustainable, affordable housing right on the same land we already garden. Same land, new possibilities.
Same land. A brighter tomorrow.
Eco Cribz is our vision for the corner of 14th St and Selden St: eight sustainable, affordable homes wrapped around two community gardens, so neighbors can grow food and put down roots in the same place.
For years, Peace Tree Parks has turned vacant Detroit lots into gardens that feed the neighborhood. This is the next step. We are building homes on that same land, so food and a place to live come together on one block.
We call it Eco Cribz. Picture eight modern, affordable homes wrapped around two working community gardens at 14th and Selden. Every home runs on solar, with EV charging at the curb and fresh food growing right outside the door. Families grow some of what they eat, keep their energy costs low, and put down roots in a neighborhood that is coming back.
Same land, new possibilities. From here the goal is simple: take blocks that sat empty for years and turn them into places where Detroiters can grow, live, and stay.
We are early and moving carefully, working with partners and neighbors to get it right. If you want to be part of it, whether you give, partner, or just spread the word, reach out. A brighter Detroit gets built together.
